Ctenophora are small, marine, invertebrate animals. They are small and delicate little specimen, and because of that, they're very difficult to collect. Ctenophores are carnivorous and they have specialized adhesive cells called colloblasts, which are used to capture planktonic animals. Many become locally abundant and are ecologically significant.
